SSS #4 : Here’s How I Am Building My Content Machine (And You Can Copy The Same Process)
Today’s Signal :
- What actually is “Content Repurposing.”
- Why you definitely need to do it
- The process I have built for myself.
The system I will share, will work like an army, where your soldiers are in a war zone fighting for attention 24*7*365 for you nonstop.
I started my content journey 12 months back.
Though I have been running a marketing company for the last 11 years, I thought it would be easy for me, but honestly, it wasn’t.
Things are different when you do it for yourself; you go to every specific detail & nuance.
The cherry on the cake, I want everything to do myself (though I have a team of 30 people in-house), as I want to learn things deeply.
I did everything on my own.
- Content research,
- Copywriting
- Designing
- Editing…. Everything
The benefits are endless; I can write content on my own, speak in front of the camera and whatnot.
But during this journey, there were three things I found challenging or needed to be resolved.
- Coming up with content ideas daily.
- Staying relevant and finding something in my niche.
- Managing traffic on different channels.
These three things cause trouble and sometimes lead to overwhelming, burning out or calling it a quit for many people, and create further problems like:
- Anxiety before the posting time
- No Consistency
- Going too wide
I was consistently trying different things desperately to find the solution.
And recently, I did it. I find the solution for me. This concept is not new but unique to me.
The solution is Content Repurposing.
Unfortunately, most people don’t understand this concept and think content repurposing is reposting.
And if you are one of them, keep reading. This article is for you.
For clarity, It is not using the same piece of content again & again – though it’s a part but not the complete process.
It is more of packaging a big chunk of content into different formats for different channels with different styles, making it easy for your audience to consume it and giving you the Opportunites to get more searches.
The idea here is to create a central hub of big ideas which further creates multiple pieces and consolidates the audience from different channels.
This is a guaranteed result and tested process, and that’s why most industries thought leaders follow the same process.
My content ecosystem is a fusion of many creators like Garry Vee, Dan Koe, Justin Welsh, Vanessa Lau, and so many more.
But I haven’t copied thier process. I took the idea / basic principle behind it and understood this at the right time, why you need to do it and why it is necessary to get excellent results while staying within your boundary and having almost 1/10th mental pressure.
“As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Here is how you can do it. Step by Step:
This process is done in 3 steps
- Production
- Packaging
- Promotion
#1 Production
You first need to come up with a big idea.
It could be something you have recently experienced, a topic in your industry that is already validated (other creators already have content on it, and other people are engaging with that content piece heavily), or your content strategy.
Again, the idea is not to copy the content but to find a topic in your niche that people are looking for.
Now, based on your experience, research, learnings, experimentations, and talks, you must create that content around that topic.
The First long-form content should be a blog (If you love writing), A 15-20 minute youtube video (If you love to be on videos) or a 10 minutes podcast (if you want to use your voice as a communication channel only).
It’s totally upto you.
In my case, it is a blog which you are reading now. It’s my newly founded love.
#2 Packaging
Packaging means taking small pieces of content from a big chunk and a point of view and designing it.
For this, first, you need to list down all the channels you want to be on and trust me, it’s not as tricky as it is seen.
For this blog, I am talking:
- Blog
- Newsletter
- Youtube
- Podcast
You can add as many channels as you want.
Don’t stretch it to a level where you exhaust yourself.
Now select the packaging format for each platform
- Blog – Only text-based / Text + Video / Text + Audio
- Newsletter – You can use the blog content and make a newsletter.
- Youtube. – Long-form Video / Youtube Shorts
- Podcast – Solo / With Guest
- Instagram – Reels / Stories / Carousel / Single / Live
- LinkedIn – Text Based / Image / Video
- Twitter – Single Tweet / Thread
Once you finalise the formats, you quickly pick the content from the long-form content.
Finalising the formats is crucial, as it will impact how you create or write your long-form content.
With the small pieces in mind, it will be easy for you to create long-form content.
The next step in packaging is Content-Type
Here you extend your content with your experiences. I took it from Justin Welsh’s content ecosystem.
You can further format the content in
- Listicles
- Observation
- Present Vs Future
- A Story
#3 Promotion
Promotion is simply distributing your content across all the platforms over the coming weeks or months.
By sharing all of these slightly different but aligned content on to different channels in different formats you will be able to reach ton of new eyeballs with minimum efforts.
Considering, I publish my blog on Saturday & the coming week as 0, here is my process of promoting or distributing my content.
This schedule is customised as per my priority. You will Instagram more in this.
You can create your own based on content and platform you like.
When you start filling your calendar like this, you will find your calendar full for next 2-3 months just after 3-4 long form content pieces.
Here’s an example of my the story post format , that I posted 1 week later after the my signal “Content Strategy to Unlimited Content” went live.

Using PPP (Production, Packaging & Promotion) method mixed with Repurposing strategy , you will build you own content ecosystem , driving / consolidated traffic to a single channel and make it your content and sales hub while building authority through long form content.
If you have any query related to this system you can ping me on Instagram. Would love to answer.
Do me a favor and screenshot what your favourite shift was, post it to IG stories and tag me @iamsahiljasuja so I can see it.
My favorite part is seeing your tags and reposting them to my stories. I can’t wait to see what resonates with you!
