SSS #2 : Content Strategy to Unlimited Content (All you need to know)

Today’s Signal:

  • Adopting the mindset of a parent
  • Audience Audit
  • Content Strategy
  • Creating unlimited content

Have you ever paid close attention to a child? How you communicate with them.

How do you begin teaching them different things, going at their level and speaking in their language?

Your tone, how you speak to them, and what you teach them to change as they grow.

You don’t talk to them with your intellect level; you go down, reach the same level, and then begin talking to them.

You want them to understand the world through your thought process.

And this is how it worked.

If you keep this example in your mind forever, I can bet that content strategy will never bother you again.

You must adopt the parent-child mindset during your content journey to make your audience understand things they don’t know or want to know.

You must talk to them in their language while persuasively matching their energy frequency level.

Content is a communication bridge between you and your audience.

It’s crucial to understand what they want and what you can deliver.

Now, as per the fact, a person typically has more than 6,000 ideas each day, according to a 2020 study.

6000 … Not a small number…

Imagine how much value you can provide your audience with your unique experience if you were to turn these 6000 thoughts into content (regardless of whether you believe you can do so or not); again, as parents do, share their experience with their child.

Whether you are full-time into entrepreneurship, landing a better job, thinking of doing business, making high-level connections, or just having fun…

You are a content creator who has bloody new 6,000 thoughts every day.

I’ve never felt the power of content before.

Having been in the marketing industry for the last 11 years, I know the power of marketing and the role of content in this.

If you know how to package the information in a way your audience can consume easily, you will never be out of business.

Doesn’t matter what technology or platform it is now or in the future.

But with power, challenges come along.

You might have experienced these thoughts when it comes to content marketing:

  • I am not a king of words
  • I don’t know how to write
  • I don’t know what kind of content will work
  • I am too shy to share my content (text/video)

Unfortunately, like you, most people think this way.

But I will explain how you can make a powerful content strategy that aligns with your brand, and you will never have to worry about the content again.

Now, let’s dive in.

#1 Audience Audit:

I can’t emphasize enough how important this step is.

This is the most important part that every person or brand should invest most of the time in, and that’s why this is the longest section on this signal too.

If you miss this, you will lose the complete game. And it’s not only limited to making a content strategy; it applies to every field.

To put this in simple words:

“If you know your audience, you are in business, else, it’s just fun.”

But the problem here is you don’t know how to do the audience audit and implement it… Right?

Now, what makes the content relatable, that hits your audience and makes them feel like it is specifically designed for them….

It’s talking about them.

  • What do they want to achieve?
  • Why are they not able to achieve that?
  • What exactly is stopping them?
  • What would happen if they can’t achieve it?

When you start creating content around these things, it will immediately click them and grab their attention.

In content, there is no guesswork.

You can’t fall in love with your ideas only and think that people will like them.

You must dig deep to discover what they want to read, hear and see.

To implement it, you must first create a sheet with columns & row heading, as given in the picture below.

We call it a research sheet.

Why do you have to be this way?

When you fill this sheet, you will have a clear idea about your audience, and the good part is that you have divided all these trigger points into different phases.

People grow… like a child, remember.

Poems, and rhyming we used to listen to when we were 3 years old, don’t make more sense to us…So how can you create a beginner level of content for a person who is now an expert?
You need to find the trigger points that make people take action, like :

  • The Desires, Fears, Questions, and Objections of a person who is at a beginner level
  • The Desires, Fears, Questions, and Objections of a person who is at an Intermediate level
  • The Desires, Fears, Questions, and Objections of a person who is at an Expert level

Each person has a different level of content at a different stage.

The question is how you can find all these things.

There are many ways, like going to the Facebook group, quora, forums, answerthepublic.com, Reddit, and whatnot.
But I am giving a quick formula to ease things.

Let’s take property investment as an example for our findings.
Go to google and use these search queries.

  • NICHE + inurl:forum (e.g. Write Ebook inurl:forum)
  • NICHE + site:URL (e.g. Write Ebook site:reddit.com)
  • Best book about NICHE (e.g., Best books about writing ebooks)
  • Best blogs about NICHE (e.g., Best blogs about self-publishing)
  • NICHE site:brainyquote.com (to find quotes your market likes)

So, if ill take the 1st method…query will look something like this

When you click on any forum, you will find the real burning questions your audience has. Something like this:

Once you have identified the questions and challenges your audience has, you need to fill it in the research sheet, putting it in the right cell by identifying it is a goal, question, fear, and who is asking it, a beginner-level person or an expert.
After you complete your sheet, it will look something like this.

This sheet is the foundation of your whole content strategy. This is the place where the actual game begins.

Now you complete the detail of your audience’s question in different phases.

Don’t rush on this process, or you will miss the whole point.

#2 Creating Content Strategy

If you see, there are a few topics in your industry. But how it is presented becomes different and unique when mixed with your own experience.

To create content, you first need to create the buckets to give your audience a variety of content. And based on your industry, you can give weightage to each type of content.

Let’s say you decided to drop 30 posts in a month, so the categories look like this.

Some of the main categories are:

Note: Weightage depends on the industry you are in, and over some time, you need to see your audience engage with different types of content.

The more you test, the more you iterate, and the better your content strategy will become.

#3 Creating Unlimited Content

When I say unlimited content, it doesn’t mean you can create anything that doesn’t align with your niche. You need to stay within the boundaries.

Unlimited content means you can create content around a single problem in many ways using different intros like.

  • Hacks
  • How I
  • How to
  • Mistakes
  • Myth Busting
  • Quote
  • Reality of
  • Reasons why
  • Signs
  • Steal
  • Stop
  • This is how
  • Tips
  • Top/Most/Best
  • Ways
  • What
  • Why/This is why
  • Ideas
  • Lessons
  • Must know
  • Formula
  • Avoid
  • Learn
  • Step by step

Now the main question is how you create unlimited content.

Use my simple formula

{Intro} + {Trigger} + {Content Category}

You must pick one intro, one trigger point from your research sheet, and one content category and club it all.

Example:

Intro: Mistakes

Trigger: Question: Finding the right property accountant

Content Category: Case Study

Result:

The biggest Mistakes John made while finalizing his property accountant

It’s a case study based on John’s mistakes, and you can teach people what not to do and what to do, based on this content only.

To sum it up

Let’s say, If you have

  • 15 trigger points in your research sheet
  • 6 Content Categories
  • 24 Intros

How much content can you create?

15 X 6 X 24 : 2160
Even If 60% of them don’t make any sense still, you are left with 864

  • Just imagine what you can you with this.
  • You can distribute this content all over the place.
  • You can be on multiple channels
  • You will never run out of ideas
  • You will not get burned out

Provided you follow all the steps and take action. If you don’t, nothing will change.

As you grow, your child grows and does what children do for their parents.

They start giving it back to you because you taught them something.

You have nurtured them in thier journey in a specific vertical.
